your candle
A few simple habits keep your Lumière candle burning beautifully — from the first light to the last gram of wax.

First burn
On the first light, allow the wax to melt fully to the edges of the vessel. This prevents tunneling and gives an even burn for the life of the candle.

Draft-free space
Place your candle away from fans, vents, and open windows. Moving air disturbs the flame and can cause uneven burning or soot.

Trim the wick
Before each use, trim the wick to about 5 mm. A shorter wick means a cleaner flame, less smoke, and a longer-lasting candle.

Reuse the vessel
When roughly 5 mm of wax remains, stop burning. Freeze the jar to lift leftover wax, wash with warm soapy water, and reuse or return for a refill.
Safety
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Place on a heat-safe surface and extinguish if the flame grows too high or smokes excessively.
